Introduction

This species is found on "Rock, alluvium, edges of snow melt areas; low to high elevations" ; Greenland; B.C., Nfld. and Labr., N.W.T., Nunavut, Que.. Yukon; Alaska, Calif., Oreg., Wash.; n Europe; n Asia; Atlantic Islands (Iceland)" (Zander 2012). In British Columbia, It has been collected in the western half of the province, from the Yukon border to the US border.
